Don't mind the gap — bridge it.

Through its multidisciplinary focus, Nanotech Insight aims to stimulate a worldwide dialogue on the planned advancement of Nanotechnology. Only a planned and integrated development of nanoscience involving a wide spectrum of global research communities and industries can hope to provide comprehensive solutions for sustainable development and address the most critical areas in need of targeting by nanoresearch (such as drug delivery, water remediation, agricultural productivity, etc.). Such an interdisciplinary and global meeting is needed at this time in order to bring Nanotech's tremendous potential to the world.

Previous meetings

The Previous two Nanotech Insight meetings (2007, 2005) were successfully held in Luxor, Egypt. Hosting the conference in Egypt provided the opportunity for young interested scholars in the developing world to take part and be inspired by the latest developments and innovative research in nanoscience and technology. Nanotech has the potential to provide cost-effective solutions to help the world reach the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. By providing strategic support and guidance, developed countries can greatly increase the chances for the success of such initiatives in the developing world. The conference emphasized responsible Nanotech, with sessions on the ethics of nanoresearch and also environmental and health benefits of Nanotechnology.

Nanotech Insight 2009 travels across the Mediterranean to the shores of Europe in Barcelona, where further coordinated and multidisciplinary collaborations will be promoted between international scholars and industry.
